Learn about our diverse treatments

  • Our chiropractic and osteopathy services are dedicated to the restoration of proper alignment, the alleviation of discomfort, and the enhancement of overall functionality.

Recognising the interrelationship between structure and function, we go beyond addressing symptoms alone, focusing on identifying and treating the root structural issues that may be contributing to a patient's health concerns.

At Care Clinic, our treatments address your unique needs, taking into account your individual preferences, age, and life stage.

    • Acupuncture and Dry Needling

    • Biomesotherapy

  • With our acupuncture and dry needling services, we tap into the ancient wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine to rebalance your body's energy and stimulate natural healing processes. These therapies have proven effective in treating a wide range of conditions, from pain management to stress relief.

Dry needling is designed to release muscular trigger points and tight muscle bands by engaging muscle fibres. This causes relaxation of the muscle, promoting natural healing. Most people experience a variety of post treatment feelings, which range from energised, to a deep sense of relaxation and well-being.

  • Applied Kinesiology™ (AK) is a holistic healthcare approach that integrates knowledge from diverse disciplines to address functional issues within the body for optimal health. This approach considers the interconnectedness of bodily systems and uses muscle testing to assess various aspects of well-being.

  • In addition to our specialised treatments, we provide comprehensive rehabilitation services for injuries and chronic conditions. Our skilled team employs evidence-based techniques and personalised rehabilitation plans to help you regain strength, mobility, and overall well-being.

    • Dr. Caolan qualified and worked as an Exercise Physiologist and is highly awarded for his sporting accomplishments.

    • Dr. Polly has a degree in Exercise and Sports Sciences and has worked as an exercise Physiologist.

    • Josie is an experienced Personal Trainer.

  • Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) is a holistic mind-body wellness approach that recognizes the influence of unresolved emotional stress on physical health, and it focuses on providing effective stress reduction techniques as a central element of its practice.

  • Cranial work, including Craniosacral Therapy, is a gentle, hands-on therapeutic approach that focuses on the skull, its related structures, and the central nervous system. This holistic practice involves gentle palpation of the head, spine, and sacrum to identify and address restrictions or imbalances with the goal of restoring optimal function and alleviating symptoms, thereby optimising the flow of cerebrospinal fluid and fostering overall well-being.

By emphasising the interconnectedness of the body's systems, cranial work underscores the significance of balance in maintaining health.

  • Retained primitive reflexes/ Retained Neonatal reflexes refer to the persistence of certain automatic, involuntary movements that are typically present in infants but should normally disappear as a child's nervous system matures. Primitive reflexes are automatic responses that are crucial for survival and early development but become integrated into more sophisticated voluntary movements as a child grows.

These reflexes are often present in the first few months of life and serve specific functions, such as assisting with childbirth, breastfeeding, and early motor development. However, as the nervous system matures and higher-level motor control develops, these reflexes are expected to be suppressed or integrated.

When primitive reflexes persist beyond the usual developmental timeframe, it may indicate a delay or disruption in the normal neurodevelopmental process. Retained primitive reflexes can potentially interfere with higher-level motor skills, coordination, and other aspects of development. This situation is sometimes associated with neurodevelopmental disorders, learning difficulties, or sensory processing issues.

As Healthcare professionals, with focused training and experience in paediatric development we assess the presence of retained primitive reflexes as part of a comprehensive evaluation of a child's neurodevelopment. Interventions such as physical treatments, therapeutic exercises and activities may be recommended to help integrate these reflexes and promote more typical motor development.

  • Paediatric neurodevelopment refers to the biological and psychological growth and maturation of the nervous system in children from infancy through adolescence. It encompasses the complex processes by which the brain and nervous system develop, leading to the acquisition of various motor, cognitive, social, and emotional skills.

Key aspects of paediatric neurodevelopment include:

    • Motor Development: The progression of motor skills, including both gross motor skills (such as crawling, walking, and running) and fine motor skills (like grasping objects and hand-eye coordination).

    • Cognitive Development: The development of cognitive functions, including perception, memory, attention, language acquisition, problem-solving, and reasoning abilities.

    • Social and Emotional Development: The acquisition of social skills, emotional regulation, and the ability to form and maintain relationships with others.

    • Communication Skills: The development of language and communication abilities, including speech and language acquisition, as well as non-verbal communication.

    • Sensory and Perceptual Development: The maturation of sensory systems (such as vision, hearing, touch, taste, and smell) and the integration of sensory information for perception.

Assessing and monitoring paediatric neurodevelopment is crucial for identifying potential developmental delays or disorders early on, allowing for timely intervention and support. As Healthcare professionals with a Paediatric Neurodevelopment focus we play a key role in assessing and addressing concerns related to pediatric neurodevelopment.

We work collaboratively with a vast array of health professionals including Paediatricians, Occupational Therapists, Behavioural Optometrists, Speech and Language Pathologists, Dentists, Airways and Breathing specialists, IBCLC's and more for best outcomes for your children.
